T-Mobile Deceptive Fee Practices

Scott Hirsch Law Group PLLC is currently investigating T-Mobile for issues relating to potentially deceptive fees and surcharges. This issue may affect T-Mobile customers who are charged recurring fees that may not be clearly disclosed or may be presented in a manner that could lead consumers to believe they are government-imposed charges.

T-MOBILE DECEPTIVE FEET-Mobile Customers Report Unexpected and Increasing Fees

T-Mobile customers report being charged unexpected fees and surcharges on their monthly bills, including the Regulatory Programs & Telco Recovery Fee. Many customers report that these charges are unclear or difficult to understand, with some questioning whether they are government-imposed fees. Customers have also reported repeated increases and additional charges appearing on their bills beyond the advertised plan price.

T-Mobile Fails to Provide Clear Information

T-Mobile customers have questioned the nature and purpose of additional charges on their bills, while the company continues to characterize certain charges as provider fees used to recover its costs. Although T-Mobile's Consumer Code states that carrier charges must be clearly distinguished from government taxes and that cost-recovery fees should not be labeled as taxes, customers continue to report confusion regarding additional charges and the actual cost of their service.
