Cooluli Minifridges Electrical Switch Defect
Scott Hirsch Law Group PLLC is currently investigating certain Cooluli 10-liter and 15-liter minifridges for issues relating to an electrical witch that can overheat and short circuit, creating fire and burn hazards. This issue may pose a significant safety risk to consumers, particularly when the minifridges are in use.
Cooluli Minifridges Owners Report Electrical Switch Overheating
Cooluli minifridges owners report that their units can overheat, smoke, spark, melt, or catch fire during use. There are also reports of consumers experiencing property damage and other issues allegedly related to the electrical switch overheating or short-circuiting
Owners describe hearing a loud bang followed by a spray of shattered glass into the cabin, with no apparent impact, debris strike, or external cause. Some owners report this occurring more than once on the same vehicle, even after the glass panel was replaced.
Cooluli's Insufficient Remedy
Many consumers affected by the recalled Cooluli minifridges have been instructed to stop using their units and receive a replacement DC power cord and a permanent sticker covering the AC port. However, consumers whose minifridges have allegedly overheated, smoked, sparked, melted, or caught fire may have experienced property damage or other losses that are not addressed by the recall remedy.
