Kesyup Mattress Flammability Violation & Fire Hazard Defect

Scott Hirsch Law Group PLLC is currently investigating certain Kesyup 12-inch mattresses for critical safety defects and violations of mandatory federal flammability standards. Federal safety regulators have determined that these compressed memory foam and hybrid mattresses fail to meet mandatory federal fire barrier requirements (16 CFR Part 1633), exposing sleeping consumers and families to severe risks of burn injuries, smoke inhalation, and death from rapid flame spread.

Over 48,000 Mattresses Fail Federal Fire Safety Standards

Sold online between December 2024 and April 2026, Kesyup 12-inch mattresses, identifiable by their white top, blue sides with blue trim, and sewn-in white "Prototype ID" tag—were marketed to everyday consumers as safe, supportive, and budget-friendly household bedding. However, testing conducted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) revealed that the mattresses lack adequate fire-retardant barriers or flame-resistant construction. In the event of exposure to an open flame, heat source, or smoldering material, the mattress materials can rapidly ignite, creating uncontrollable structural home fires.

Burden Placed on Consumers While Sellers Minimize Accountability

While a nationwide safety recall (CPSC Recall No. 26-788) was announced urging consumers to stop using the mattresses immediately, the proposed remedy places the entire burden of product destruction and hazardous disposal onto consumers. Buyers are instructed to deface their beds with permanent marker, photograph the markings, and arrange bulky item waste disposal while waiting on refunds from overseas distributors. Furthermore, many consumers who relied on these products for daily sleep now face unexpected replacement bedding costs. We are investigating whether ZCK01 and its retail partners unlawfully distributed non-compliant, fire-hazardous bedding into U.S. households without proper quality assurance or consumer protections.
