Frigidaire Induction Range Unexpected Activation and Heating Defect Investigation

Current Investigations

Frigidaire Unintended Activation Defect

Scott Hirsch Law Group PLLC is currently investigating certain Frigidaire induction ranges for issues relating to unintended activation of the cooktop or oven. These issues may cause burners or cooking functions to activate or begin heating without the consumer intentionally turning them on.

Frigidaire Unintended Activation DefectFrigidaire Owners Report Unexpected Activation and Heating

Frigidaire induction range owners report that burners and oven functions may activate or begin heating without intentional input. Some owners report that induction burners turn on by themselves or unexpectedly switch to high power, while others report that the oven turns on, changes temperature, or activates cooking functions without warning. In some instances, consumers have reported discovering that their range was hot despite believing it was turned off, as well as burning smells, melted cookware, and burn injuries associated with the unexpected heating.

Frigidaire Fails to Remedy

Many consumers have reported contacting Frigidaire or authorized service providers after experiencing unexpected activation and heating of their ranges. In some cases, technicians have attempted to diagnose or repair the problem, including replacing control boards or other electronic components. However, some consumers report that the unexpected activation continued after repairs or that multiple service visits were required without permanently resolving the issue. These repeated repair attempts may leave consumers without a reliable range and may result in additional expenses associated with service, replacement parts, or other related costs.
