Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner Burn & Scald Defect

Scott Hirsch Law Group PLLC is currently investigating Dupray Neat Steam Cleaners for severe safety defects involving high-pressure steam, boiling water leaks, and pressurized cap failures. A design and component defect in the boiler assembly, safety cap, and pressure seals can cause boiling water and pressurized steam to forcefully spray or erupt from the unit, posing catastrophic burn and scalding hazards to consumers during ordinary household use.

Dupray Neat SteamOwners Report Boiling Water Eruptions, Blistered Skin, and Steam Escapes

Consumers using the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner report alarming incidents where boiling water and pressurized steam violently expel from the safety cap, boiler housing, or accessory attachments. In multiple instances, users describe safety caps blowing off or failing to vent safely, spraying scalding water onto hands, arms, legs, and feet. These sudden eruptions have caused second- and third-degree burn injuries, permanent scarring, and substantial pain and suffering. Additionally, users report cracked boiler casings, leaking pressurized seals, and thermal cut-off malfunctions that prevent the unit from safely regulating internal heat and pressure.

Manufacturer Fails to Issue a Comprehensive Recall or Safe Remedy

Despite pervasive consumer reports and dangerous burn incidents, Dupray has failed to initiate a comprehensive recall or provide an effective safety fix to prevent pressurized boiling liquid from discharging. Many injured users report that customer support dismissed their claims as user error, offered only basic replacement seals that quickly fail again, or refused to provide refunds or cover emergency medical expenses. We are investigating whether Dupray designed, marketed, and sold these steam cleaners with knowledge of their dangerous pressure-containment flaws.
