Lennar Mortgage Fails to Adequately Protect Affected Individuals

Lennar Mortgage reports that it secured its systems after discovering the unauthorized activity and subsequently investigated the incident. The company is providing affected individuals with complimentary credit monitoring, fraud consultation, and identity theft restoration services. However, the breach occurred between May 26 and June 1, 2026, while the notice letter to affected individuals was not issued until August 2026. The delay between the incident and notification may have left affected individuals unaware that their personal information was at risk for several weeks before they were able to take protective measures.
