Cambridge Audio Yoyo (M) Speaker Fire Hazard

Cambridge Audio Yoyo (M) Owners Report Fires, Smoke, and Battery Material Ejection

Many consumers have reported incidents involving fires, smoke, and the ejection of hot battery material from the speakers, including instances in which the speakers caught fire while charging. These incidents have resulted in damage to the speakers and, in some cases, surrounding property, raising concerns for owners who experienced a fire or other hazardous event involving their speakers.

Cambridge Audio Fails To Remedy

Cambridge Audio has issued a voluntary recall of the Yoyo (M) speakers and is offering consumers a cash refund for the recalled units. However, the recall does not address losses that consumers may have experienced after a speaker caught fire, emitted smoke, or ejected battery material. Owners whose speakers damaged surrounding property may have incurred repair or replacement costs in addition to the loss of the speaker itself. Other consumers may have incurred out-of-pocket expenses related to the incident or efforts to address resulting damage.
