Boiler Owners Report Cracked Components and Detached Front Covers

Owners and technicians have reported dozens of incidents involving cracked condensate dishes in the affected boilers, including multiple cases where the boiler’s front cover detached with enough force to cause serious injury. In one reported incident, a technician servicing a boiler suffered a broken jaw. Delayed ignition is commonly described as a loud bang or thump when the burner lights, and it can occur without warning while the boiler is in normal use, putting anyone near the unit at risk.

Ariston Fails To Remedy

Ariston has announced a recall of several residential gas boilers in the United States and is offering free repairs by certified technicians. The company also advises owners to stop using affected boilers until repairs are completed, potentially leaving them without heat while they wait. This follows earlier recalls involving other boiler models due to fire and carbon monoxide hazards, as well as a safety notice regarding delayed ignition in other NTI boilers, raising concerns about recurring safety issues across the company's product lines.
