Scott Hirsch Law Group PLLC is currently investigating Britax Child Safety, Inc. regarding nearly 115,000 infant car seats and travel systems for dangerous defects involving the carrying handle. A design and component defect allows attachment screws in the carry handle to loosen and back out under normal use, causing the handle to suddenly crack or partially detach while being carried, creating a severe fall hazard for infants strapped inside.

Parents Report Loose Screws, Handle Detachments, and Sudden Falls

Parents and caregivers rely on premium infant car seats from Britax, including the B-Safe Gen2, B-Safe Gen2 Flexfit, B-Safe Gen2 Flexfit+, B-Safe 35, B-Safe Ultra, and Endeavours lines to safely transport infants between vehicles and strollers. However, reports submitted to safety regulators indicate that carrying handle screws loosen over time without warning.
