DR Power Trimmer Mower Owners Report Fires and Burn Injuries

According to the U.S. Consumer Producto Safety Commission (CPSC), DR Power Equipment received multiple reports of the recalled trimmer mowers catching fire, including some reports of minor injuries involving blisters on user's hands and feet. The recall affects eight Pilot and Premier models, including units sold under the “Pro” designation, with all serial numbers included for the listed models. The affected mowers were sold nationwide and online between November 2022 and July 2026.

DR Power Equipment’s Remedy May Not Fully Address Fire Hazards

DR Power Equipment is offering owners of recalled Pilot and Premier trimmer mowers a repair kit and, if needed, installation through an authorized dealer. However, the company is not offering consumers a refund or a replacement mower under the recall remedy. Because the repair is intended to address the accumulation of grass and debris that can cause fires, questions remain about whether the kit will fully resolve the hazard and prevent future incidents. Owners are instructed to stop using the affected mowers until the recall remedy is completed.
